Digimon Alysion Story Mode Characters and Voice Cast
Story Mode cast named by BANDAI: Kanata Hondo, Futre, Valner Dragnogh, Renamon, and Aliol, with English voice credits and closed beta story feedback.
Digimon Alysion Story Mode introduces Kanata Hondo and a small cast tied to the LIBERATOR setting. Names below use BANDAI’s English press-release spellings only—no Japanese or Chinese name variants on this page.
What is Story Mode in Digimon Alysion?
BANDAI describes Story Mode as both narrative and tutorial: card game newcomer Kanata Hondo learns the rules with help from her best friend Futre and guided battles inside the app.
The official site synopsis describes Kanata as a veteran gamer who has always loved Digimon but rarely had the chance to play the Digimon Card Game. She is invited online by her friend Futre to try the new title “DIGIMON LIBERATOR”, and after reading a booklet and talking with Futre decides to dive in—meeting new friends and rivals in the metaverse space LACUNA.
The App Store notes original characters and the possibility of encountering new Digimon. Specific story beats beyond the synopsis are Not announced here.
Gameplay automation versus the physical card game is explained in how to play . The LIBERATOR fiction layer is on Digimon Liberator and LACUNA .
Who are the named Story Mode characters?
The October 27, 2026 BANDAI press release lists these roles and English voice cast names:
| Character | Voice actor (English listing) | Role (official) |
|---|---|---|
| Kanata Hondo | Shu Uchida | Protagonist; veteran gamer who is new to card games |
| Futre | Hikari Kubota | Friend who invites Kanata |
| Valner Dragnogh | Fairouz Ai | Leader of the [Di:WO] guild |
| Renamon | Miyuki Sawashiro | Valner’s partner Digimon |
| Aliol | Ayumu Murase | Guide inside LIBERATOR |
Futre is Kanata’s friend and formerly belonged to [Di:WO], the guild led by Valner Dragnogh. We do not add ages, heights, or personality traits that the press release does not state.
Which Digimon partner with Kanata and Futre?
The press release does not name Kanata’s or Futre’s partner Digimon.
Game8 reports that Kanata’s partners are Gabumon and Agumon and that Futre’s partner is Gemmon. That pairing information is Game8’s reporting, not written in the BANDAI press release we cite. Treat it as reported, not verified primary copy, until BANDAI confirms it on an official page.
Full card stats and evolution lines for those Digimon in Alysion are Not announced.
How is this cast different from DIGIMON LIBERATOR?
The DIGIMON LIBERATOR webcomic and novel star Shoto Kazama (partner Pteromon) and Arisa Kinosaki (partner Shoemon) on the official Digimon Card Game site. They are not the protagonists of the Digimon Alysion mobile app.
Alysion shares the LIBERATOR / LACUNA world but centers on Kanata Hondo. Read the split clearly on Digimon Liberator and LACUNA before assuming comic leads appear as the app’s main playable cast.
What did the closed beta survey say about story presentation?
The Closed β Test Survey Report includes story-related feedback:
- Some players felt story scenes were somewhat lacking
- It was sometimes hard to tell who was speaking to whom
- Matchmaking comments (repeat opponents, skill mismatches) were also recorded
The development team responded that they will adjust Story Mode presentation to make scenes easier to visualize and follow toward official launch.
That feedback reflects the 2025 beta, not final release quality. Broader beta context lives on closed beta recap .
